Help with crank compatibility?
I am oblivious when it comes to building up bikes because I have always had a shop do it for me, but I recently bought a Cannondale synapse and had took off full shimano 105 with a fsa gossamer pro crank. I have a scott s30 as well and was wondering is what all would I have to get to make this crank compatible with my bike, I have the BB30 bottom bracket that came with the cannondale but I dont think that will be compatible, will a shimano BB such as dura ace or ultegra work? Here is a link to the bike I have, http://www.scott-sports.com/us_en/product/10052/55735/218118 says the bottom bracket is Truvativ 07BB 68/108, which means nothing to me, if the crank wont work for my bike any suggestions for what cranks and BB set I should get? thanks in advance for any help
This is the third time you have asked this question. The answer is that the crank won't fit your frame. Your best choice is to use a Shimano crank, 105, ultegra or Dura Ace will all work. Use a Shimano English threaded external cup bottom bracket that goes with the crank you choose, they are not very expensive. The advantage to using a Shimano crank is that shifting will be more precise than it would be using an off brand crank, Shimano chainrings are designed to work with their derailleurs to ensure the best shift performance
