Removing a suspension spring?

I have a Marzocchi MZ Comp...it's an OEM fork and it's a bit too stiff. Adjusting it won't make much of a difference either.

So is it ok to take out one of the springs? I do a lot of urban riding, not massive jumps but maybe about 5ft and i don't know if it would take the hits well enough
I've seen the Cannondale Lefty so i'm guessing with 2 arms and 1 spring mine it can still do some jumps

I've been planning to buy a DJ fork, so if you know, ideas are welcome

I'd have to check for sure, but I am PRETTY sure that the Marzocchi MZ Comp only has a spring on one side. In any case removing any springs is not an option.

I suggest that you look for a spring kit for your fork- they should be readily available. A 5 foot drop is plenty enough that you really should have a relatively stiff spring.
