Fsa Cannondale
Fsa Cannondale
Bicycle. I ask because I don't know. If one were to purchase a mid-level bike from a very good brand?
Bianchi, Cannondale, Pinarello, GT, Felt, Raleigh and they added a top crank set, lets say FSA
Gossamer Pro BB30, 53/39 and everything fits. Does this approach side step purchasing a bike in the thousands? Will a mid-level bike frame default, fail because of this arrangement or is this something the bike world has been doing for years? Will the performance be outstanding because of the crank and gear package on a mid level bike? When I refer to mid level I am looking at the price point for the bike between $500-$1000. Separate can be the crank, then the gear package if it were done in two steps over a period of time. Just curious to know your thoughts or experiences.
Thanks.
Yes. I prefaced my comments that I don't know. I am learning. Now that I have your two cents worth I know what you think. Helpful would have been better. Incomprehensible.

The costs of the upgrades are far greater than just buying a higher priced bike. There is nothing wrong with a $1000 Cannondale bike. If you want a better bike, Take that $1000 and buy a good used bike. My last three bikes were used. I got them all, like new, for pennies on the dollar to their original retail price!
